Minneapolis’s post-industrial duo, Avida Dollars, has come out with a surreal darkwave sprawl in “DMMM”, blending the drum machine and synth bombastics of Street Sects, manic vocals* of Xiu Xiu, & guitar indie-jamminess of Broken Social Scene in such a way that these familiar tropes form their very own unique (if not slightly disorienting) singular soundtrack that’s perfect for long city walks and/or crafternoon accompaniment.
