LAVENDER BLUE
“Dusk” C30
(Self-Released)

Lavender Blue’s “Dusk" is quite possibly a perfect alt/indie/folk album. It’s got incredibly gorgeous/understated musicianship, hauntingly restrained vocal delivery, captivating chord progressions (and a slew of sweet change ups!) some slooooow jams, a few upbeat sing-a-longs, and an underlying sentimentality that doesn't just tie it all together, but coils around everything like fucking magic.

This is true nature worship, an undeniable album to listen to by your bed, the night before a serious camping trip.

Highly recommended if you’d like a mash-ups/mixtape of Julie Doiron, Sarge, and Cat Power. Keep it up!
