This tape holds six tracks of brittle droney bedroom-wave,
all songs written and recorded by one dude over several years (in the Canary
Islands of all places). The vocals are maybe above average for the genre, and
certainly do most of the heavy lifting on these tracks, whereas the other
instruments tend to loop endlessly and are more distinctive for what they do
with timbre/FX than anything rhythmic or melodic. There's a vague lite psych
feeling with the shifting echoes and droning organ parts that really comes to
the fore on side 2, but the reliance on sequenced digital instruments and
general lack of dynamics keeps most of the tracks from really taking off and
reaching the astral plane.
