Some
damn fine Lo-Fi bedroom psychedelia a la Elephant 6. Tons of varying guitar and
synth textures and riffs, all layered and layered and layered to where it’s
hard to get hooked by just one groove. Dreamy, reverbed vocals hang out just
within earshot, jump to the fore, and back again. Solid bass lines and tasteful
percussion support intermittent feedback solos and all round good clean
noisiness. The name of the game is dynamics here, and this lone Texan is having
a blast all by himself, masterfully
arranging it without the sterilizing polish . Looking forward to playing this
tape ‘til the warble adds its own charm on top.
