Reading Whorecough’s bio informed me that they are from
Harrisburg, Virginia. However, after listening to their demo tape I’ve
concluded they have a lot more in common with what’s going on in New York right
now as opposed to their scenic little town in the Shenandoah Valley*. They
remind me a lot of Perfect Pussy pre-Captured Tracks output; just a little less
noise distortion over the vocals and a little more straight up hardcore
instead. Fans of Meredith Graves will appreciate Natalie Strickland’s
take-no-prisoners front woman approach. The tape is short but I loved every
minute of it.
